You better believe in the guy you follow into battle…

Judges 1:2,3

And the LORD said, Judah shall go up: behold, I have delivered the land into his hand. (v.3) And Judah said unto Simeon his brother, Come up with me into my lot, that we may fight against the Canaanites; and I likewise will go with thee into thy lot. So Simeon went with him.

Judah had a promise that the land would be delievered into his hand. Judah ask Simeon to join him and knew it would be beneficial for him.

I know the Pastor I work for has some promises given to him. Not just becuase he has years of experience or a love for the people he leads. He has promises becuase he is a man of the book. God has great plans for Him and the  ministry he leads.

I feel confident that God has many great things in store for him. I will follow him into battle. He has promises coming his way and I will benefit from that. I do not want to be a free loader. I plan to fight with everything in me as we claim the land God has for us. I know I benefit from following his leadership. I pray he will benefit from me joining him in battle.

If you are a youth pastor and you do not believe the hand of God is on your Pastor… then get out of dodge and do not take anyone with you.
