b. We are not to gossip or be a talebearer Leviticus 19:16
i. These words wound deeply Proverbs 18:8
ii. Drive back the backbiting tongue Proverbs 25:23
iii. Backbiting is unrighteousness Romans 1:30
iv. God hates those that sow discord Proverbs 6:16, 19
v. Words should be used to edify and bless Romans 14:19, Philippians 2:3
c. We are not to use our words to hurt others Proverbs 12:18
