Overcoming Life’s Obstacles

 

Joshua 6:1-16

 

I.                    Obstacles are overcome by means of faith Hebrews 11:30, 6:2

a.      As you believe Matthew 8:13

b.      According to your faith Matthew 9:29

c.      If you can believe Mark 9:23

 

II.                  Obstacles are overcome in silence 6:10

a.      No desire to spread fear

b.      Need to spend their time thinking

c.      Not a time to complain

d.      They need to be praying

 

III.                Obstacles are overcome in prayer

a.      We call He answers Psalm 91:15

b.      We pray believing Mark 11:24

c.      We pray fervently James 5:16

 

IV.               Obstacles are overcome by recognizing our mistakes and our weaknesses

a.      Our humility and need call on God to answer James 4:6, 10

b.      We are in need of grace I Peter 5:5

 

V.                 Obstacles are overcome by means of our praise 6:16,

a.      God loves our praise Psalm 22:3

b.      Our praise shows our trust

 

VI.               Obstacles are overcome by means of patient endurance

a.      Through faith and patience Hebrews 6:11-15

b.      Believing when there is no physical reason Romans 4:18

c.      Believing in spite of the circumstances Romans 4:19

d.      Being fully convinced Romans 4:21
