Jeremiah
Jer_1:5
God knew each and every one of us before we were ever born, and He also had a plan and a purpose for our lives. It was His desire before we were ever born that we would tell the world about His son. God knew what abilities we would have and also our short comings. Many of us think we have to be an eloquent speaker, or have a master’s degree to do something for God, but God told Jeremiah not to be afraid, because he would be right next to him to help him. In verse nine it says, “Then the Lord put forth his hand, and touched his mouth.” And then the Lord said, “I have put my words in thy mouth.” If we will follow God, and prepare the best we can, God will touch our hearts and our lives, and we will be able to do greater things than we ever thought, because it wont be our words or our actions, but rather God working through us to deliver His message. God’s will from the time we were in the womb was that we would grow up to tell others about Him. JAH
Jer_12:5 If thou hast run with the footmen, and they have wearied thee, then how canst thou contend with horses? and if in the land of peace, wherein thou trustedst, they wearied thee, then how wilt thou do in the swelling of Jordan?
You better start running? If your preparing to go to the mission field, and you have not done anything for God in your home church, you better start running. No matter where you are at in life as long as there is people around there is an opportunity to minister. If you have visions of some day standing on a stage surrounded by national pastors in a country where you plan to serve as a missionary then you should also have dreams of standing in the aisle of a bus with screaming kids on the bus route today. What you decide to do with the resources and opportunities God has given you today will effect your opportunities and resources. Mat_25:21 TLC
Jer_32:27
Is there anything to hard for God? Answer: NO! This truth can be one of the most abused interpretations in all the Bible. We use it to make God our omnipotent servant here to take care of our needs and selfish wants. But what is the context?
God CAN do anything but He only WILL do that which he wants. Vs 38-40 is the immediate context of this verse and it tells us what is the deepest, burning desire of the heart of God. He wants to have a people for His name (Act_15:14). He wants to give to men one heart and one way in the fear of God for their good. It is God who will change hearts. It is His desire to change lives with the gospel that we must seek after claiming with boldness and faith the promise "There is nothing to hard for thee" (vs 17). Are you passionately seeking after His desire for the hearts of men? ALB
