Joshua
Jos_2:19
Responsibility of the one who had the good news to carry it to others and also we see the responsibility of those who would hear to respond correctly. They would deliver those who followed the procedures laid out to them. Responsibility was not on the witnesses if the persons who desired to be saved were not in the house.
Isn't that the same story for us today. We have the good news and the way of salvation. They are in need. We are responsible to get the gospel to them because he has placed us in charge of this ministry 2Co_5:18-20. They are responsible to respond to the offer of His gift. He is not responsible for their judgment and destruction if they do not obey His commands. We must be about the father's business. WAG
Jos_9:14
How many times do we get in trouble because we do not ask the Lord's counsel. So many times we rationally think it out. We do what we have heard others tell us would be good but we do not consult with God. How do we ask God what to do. First we do not pray we get in the Word of God and see what the Bible teaches that we should do. After much time in the Word we pray spiritually and with wisdom of what the Word of God teaches. This way God can direct our paths. Too many times men say that God has led them but the direction was based on emotions and arriving on the mission field the emotions quickly disappear. The missionary can't stay on the field because he has not gotten direction from God but from his emotions. Don't make a move until you consult with the Lord or you will pay the price for many years. What a wonderful precedent! Not one of the promises of God failed that the Lord had spoken. We have great and wonderful promises as we go about World Evangelism. I can promise you that not one of them will fail. You and I have guaranteed success. We can have the promises fulfilled of the Great Commission.

The presupposition based on scripture that God allows all men a free will is the fuel of a world evangelism fire. If we truly believe that all men could choose we would do everything possible to reach them with the necessary information to accept Christ.
GOD ALLOWS MAN CHOICE Deut. 30:19-20 "I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; "that you may love the LORD your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days; and that you may dwell in the land which the LORD swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them."
Josh. 24:15 "And if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD."
