Mic_1:2-3

"Hear, all ye people; hearken, O earth, and all that therein is:"

How will all people "hear"? How will all that are in the earth hearken? How does God expect them to hear His message to them? He has commanded his children to be obedient and go into all of the earth proclaiming to every creature this message of His. What is this message? That the Lord GOD is witness against you from his holy temple and that He is coming forth and coming down to tread on the earth! God Himself is coming in great wrath and judgment! Let the whole earth know and be prepared against that coming great and terrible Day of the Lord! Will we allow them to be completely unwarned? Will we allow them to be totally unprepared with no chance of repentance or preparation to meet the Lord God of heaven, their creator? Or will we take heed and obey our Master and King and go into all the earth proclaiming His message of repentance and faith?  JDB

Mic_2:6-9

We must know and understand that our preaching and message is from the Lord Himself. It must never be dictated by the audience of hearers regardless of the shame that may follow for taking an open stand for the Lord. Here the hearers are saying to the preachers, preach not unto us and the preachers hearken so they won't take shame. They are afraid of being the "bad guy", afraid of offending, afraid of hurting feelings, afraid of taking on shame from men. The verses that follow this course of action are devastating. Men are stripped naked (devoured by preachers), women are cast out of their houses (women in the workforce neglecting the children and home) and possibly the worst consequence of all is that the glory of the Lord has been taken away from the children for ever. God did not remove it but it was removed when the preachers hearkened unto the people and changed the message of the Lord and the glory of God is removed by them from before the children.. O preacher, keep yourself and your message pure before God. JDB
