Advice, Advice, Advice

I would also like to remind each of you that if you can’t do it in the states you will never be able to do it on the foreign field. Have you ever led anyone to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and then gotten them baptized and led them to be faithful and productive in church. It is relatively easy to get someone to pray a prayer. Can you show me someone that will attest to the fact that you have won him and discipled him for the Lord Jesus. If not you ought to do that before you even think of leaving for the field.

I am afraid that many times we believe that we can do something overseas that we have never done here in the states. Before you leave for the field why don’t you find someone you can disciple. Prove to yourself that you can take someone that is lost, get him saved, baptized, faithful, tithing and all of that. It will be a blessing to your local church and it will also prove to you that you can do it over seas. Remember you are going where there is no church. If you can’t do all of the above how will you get a church. You can’t get members from other churches which is so often what we do in the states. You can’t get them saved in services many times because they won’t come. Will you pay the price to learn the language and then do the work.
