Do Level:

Acts “4:15 But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves, 16 Saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them is manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it17But that it spread no further among the people, let us straitly threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name. 18 And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus. 19 But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.20 For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.

I believe this passage of Scripture best illustrates the point of the DO level. In this story we have Peter and John on trial for preaching about Jesus in the temple at Jerusalem. When the examiners tried the apostles they sentenced the men to never preach or speak about Jesus again. Now notice the heart of the Apostles from their response. “For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.” What Jesus had done for them and what Jesus had done for others made the Apostles bubble over with action. It wasn’t because they had to or because the Apostles were worried about what everyone was going to say about them not going out and witnessing. But their motivation was that Jesus had done a work inside them. They were excited about what Jesus had done.

Now the same thing needs to be true with us. Why do we give money to the church? Is it because we believe that we will be judged one day or is it because we know that our Father in Heaven is a giver so we should be a giver like Him? Basically, it is our relationship with God that causes us to change our behavior and not because we think that our behavior affects our relationship. We DO because of who we are.

I hope that it is true with you also that the reason you are serving God is not because you have to but rather because you know the Father and what He has done for you. You know His love, and it is His love which constrains you to do.
