Harsh words for a man who brought democracy to Taiwan

The People’s Republic of China (PRC) had harsh words for the man who led the Republic of China (ROC) to democracy.  Lee Teng-Hui died last week at the age of 97.  The China’s state news organization, Global Times published words such as ‘Traitor’, ‘National Sinner’, and that his death was not sad news.

Lee Teng-Hui was the president from 1988 to 2000, becoming the first democratically elected leader in 1996.  He worked hard to create a free and democratic society.

In Taiwan, missionaries can freely be admitted and work without fear of imprisonment or deportment.  Will you pray for Taiwan and China that many would be saved, that more laborers would surrender to go?
