Today’s reading Deuteronomy 1-2

Deuteronomy 2:36 From Aroer, which is by the brink of the river of Arnon, and from the city that is by the river, even unto Gilead, there was not one city too strong for us: the Lord our God delivered all unto us:

God has met the needs of His people in every opportunity. No city has been too strong for them. God has given them the victory.

This is a constant theme or story in the Bible. God always gives His people the ability to accomplish what He has for them to do! They are able to overcome an problem or obstacle.

Two things that you want to remember. God will always give you what you need to do what He has for you. Often when I do not think that He is meeting my needs it is not a need but a want. My frustrations are usually brought on by what I want not that God didn’t meet my needs.

Second, it is God doing the work. He delivered the cities. It is not my strength, wisdom, etc that gets the job done. So often I want to think that I am the man, I am the one that is getting things done. I want to shift the blame when something doesn’t go right and to brag when they do. Both are wrong. I should humbly realize that God is at work. I will trust Him to do the work!
