The Our Generation Training Center (OGTC) is a mentorship based missionary and church-planting program.
You can learn more about Vision Baptist Church here.
Tuition is $250/mo. and students will be responsible for their own housing and food. Housing for single students living in the OGTC provided apartments cost approximately $250.00 to $300.00 per month. These prices are based on the current apartment rent and monthly utilities. The price includes all utilities with the exception of telephone expenses.
The weekly class schedule is such that will allow students ample time to work and earn money to offset the expense of their education.
Yes, we encourage women to apply. The OGTC is for training missionaries and church-planters, and women have a vital role. We are complementarian but also believe that women should be theologically and practically trained for the ministry. Women will develop a mentorship relationship with women associated with the OGTC.
The OGTC is uniquely designed in practice and philosophy so we cannot grant transfer credit.
Are you interested in cross-cultural church-planting ministry? Would you like training and instruction specific to these unique challenges? The OGTC is designed as a mentorship based program and we are looking for students that are teachable and desirous to be helped.
Yes. All our courses are on a modular rotation, so a student desiring to come for a short term are able. You can indicate that you are interested in an internship on the application.
The OGTC is located at the facilities of Vision Baptist Church.

We believe that ministry should be done in direct connection with a local church and thus the program is designed to teach and train in that context. We do not require that you become a member of Vision Baptist, but the ministries that you are involved in will be connected with Vision Baptist.
We model our philosophy of ministry on what Jesus did with his disciples. He spent an enormous amount of intense time with them for 3 years preparing them for every situation in the ministry that they would face.
The president is Austin Gardner, Director is Robert Canfield, and the classes are taught by a combination of VBC staff and current missionaries home on furlough.
We do not have a typical applicant. We have a great variety of students from former pastors to high school graduates.
That would be great. We would encourage you to visit on a Friday morning for a group session that lasts from 9am-1pm.
