Will Hill grew up in a Christian home and accepted Christ as his Savior when he was nine. As a seventeen-year-old senior in a Christian school, he surrendered his life to be a church planting missionary to Japan. The summer after his graduation, he went on a missions trip to Arequipa, Peru, where he met Austin Gardner, his friend and mentor, who challenged him to get training for missionary work. In 2004, he returned to Peru, South America, for a six-month missions Internship where he received hands-on training for missions from Austin Gardner and other veteran missionaries.
From 2004-2007, He attended the Our Generation Training Center and the Baptist College for World Evangelism, where he graduated with a Bachelors of Biblical Studies with proficiency in Missions. There he met his wife Rebel, and they were married in 2008.
From 2007-2011, he was on Staff at Lighthouse Baptist with his Pastor Charles Blackstock. Will and Rebel were able to gain ministry experience as they worked in and lead several ministries.
In 2012, Will and Rebel became missionaries with Vision Baptist Missions and started full-time deputation.
In 2014, Will was ordained for the ministry and took a survey trip to Japan, where they determined where God would have them start their ministry.
From 2015-2018, Will and Rebel Began Language School in Nagaoka, Japan, started working with veteran missionaries Mike Burgett and Russ Stanford at Agape Bible Baptist Church. Towards the end of their language training, they started an English Corner Ministry and a Thursday night Bible study in the city of Niigata to prepare the way for their first church plant.
In 2019, They Started Kibou (Hope) Baptist Church in the metropolitan area of Niigata City, home to over a million people, and in 2020 they started their second church plant, Downtown Kibou Baptist Church, in the heart of Niigata City with their ministry teammates the Miyashitas.
