In October 2019, the constitutional court of Poland found a 1993 abortion law unconstitutional. The ruling was supported by the government of Poland which has strong ties to the Catholic Church.
For those who believe that life begins at conception, this is a very encouraging step, as the court justified its ruling on the grounds that “an unborn child is a human being.”
While the morality of this decision is welcome by Christians, Poland still remains a country in need of the gospel. There are very few Baptist missionaries from North America in Poland. The country has 38 million people. Who will go and work to spread the gospel in this needy country?
