Whose money?

Whose money is it, mine or God’s? All that we have belongs to the Lord, yet some of us have difficulty putting this truth into practice. We become anxious about our level of support and worry that too many gifts or loans will place us in financial jeopardy.

A helpful technique may be to set aside a portion of financial support to be given to people who have need. Making the distribution of such funds a matter of personal prayer, the worker who gives should acknowledge openly that the gift is from a fund that belongs to God. The debt is to God and not to the giver, who is merely the steward.
